Yakasai decided to leave this country few days after he was released from detention. In February, he was sacked, arrested and detained by the State Security Service (SSS) for speaking against President Buhari, he tweeted that the President should check on the worsening insecurity and incessant kidnappings or better still resign.
His arrest was condemned by so many Nigerians and organization, tweeter campaigns were launched by human right activists to campaign for his release which eventually paid off.
His release was confirmed in March 1st and today he is already out of the country. He made this known in a tweet posted hours ago which has already gained massive engagement and mixed reactions.
It is so sad that unguarded utterances against the government could possibly get one detained in Nigeria, a country that prides herself as a beacon of democracy.
See how some Nigerians reacted to his relocation abroad.
