As the governorship election scheduled for March 18, 2023, draws near, Great Ogboru, an All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate for governor of Delta state, was given an interview on BBC News Pidgin in the middle of the day where he discussed Peter Obi and the upcoming governor's race in his state.
Great Ogboru said, "I did not regret leaving the Labor Party (LP) because with or without Peter Obi, I will be in politics." He revealed, "If you check the Labor Party's record, you would understand that I was previously a governorship candidate in that party."
He continued by saying, "I backed Peter Obi's bid for president since the Labor Party gained more ground once he arrived." Unfortunately, we were cheated by those in Abuja.
Great Ogboru concluded by saying, "It is true that everyone in Delta knows that the upcoming election is my mandate. They know who I am. Senator Omo-agege's mandate is in Delta Central, and we gave that to him."
