The current political crisis in the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ekiti state has been a major concern and a thorn in the flesh of loyal and committed members of the ruling political party in the state. It is not only Ekiti APC that is being faced with this political crisis, the leading opposition political party in the state has been facing similar political problem.
It would be recalled that recently, two different state executive committees emerged from the just concluded state congress of the People Democratic Party (PDP) in Ekiti state. The two committee councils are the ones loyal to the two factional leaders of the party in the state. The leaders are ex-governor Ayodele Fayose and Senator Abiodun Olujimi.
If the All progressive Congress (APC) are able to solve their political crisis before the People Democratic Party (PDP) put an end to their political rifts, then it will be difficult for the People Democratic Party (PDP) to wrestle power from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
