2023: Jega, Utomi Float Rescue Nigeria Project

Former Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, Prof. Attahiru Jega; and foremost Nigerian Professor of political economy, Pat Utomi, alongside several politicians on Tuesday, unveiled the Rescue Nigeria Project.

The group revealed on Tuesday that the RNP is meant to offer an alternative political platform to the dominance of the All Progressive Congress and the Peoples Democratic Party.

Apart from Jega and Utomi, other promoters of the project include former Governor of Cross Rivers State, Donald Duke; and his former Kwara State counterpart, Abdulfatah Ahmed; Prof Tunde Adeniran, Senator Lee Maeba, Dr. Usman Bugaje, Ambassador. Nkoyo Toyo, among others.

Delivering a keynote at the event which was held in Abuja, Ahmed expressed his grief as the current administration have not been able to take the Nation forward.

He further stated that the current administration is responsible for the high level of ethnic agitation in and around the country.

According to him, the incompetency of the current administration is the reason behind the creation of the RNP. The group claim they want to solve the mess.
