President Buhari presides over security meeting in Abuja.
It was revealed after the meeting of security chiefs, presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari , at the State House, Abuja on Thursday, that President Buhari warned that under no circumstance will non state actors be allowed to prevent the upcoming November 6 Anambra gubernatorial election from holding, as President Muhammadu Buhari also directed that all security agencies should take over Anambra and ensure that citizens are allowed to come out and exercise their right to vote without fear.
This was disclosed by the National Security Adviser to the president, Maj. Gen. Babagana Mongonu (rtd), when briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the security chiefs which was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday.

Monguno also revealed that when president Buhari was reacting to the heightened security challenges in Anambra, orchestrated by the proscribed Indigenous people of Biafra, president Buhari also enjoined the security agencies to stamp their feet of authority and ensure that the October 6 gubernatorial election in Anambra holds peacefully.
Monguno said, "The President has directed that under no circumstances will anything be allowed to stop the election from taking place successfully. The people have a right to vote and select their leader. No group or individual will be allowed to stimulate anarchy and chaos leading to murderous activities."
