The coalition of Northen groups (CNG) have claimed that the federal bureau of investigation (FBI) and the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) have denied Abba Kyari a fair hearing. According to CNG, they said that the authorities took actions against him without granting him access to fair hearing. The group asked that the case of Abba Kyari's suspension be reviewed and the Nigerian intelligence Agency should investigate the matter.

They discriminated the decision of the Nigeria police in stripping him of his position. They claimed that the FBI had breached the international protocol. They said that the FBI should have first consulted the Nigerian authorities or the Nigerian high commission to USA before publishing a letter which inscripted the indiction of Abba Kyari. They asked Nigeria's civil union groups to fight against the expatriation of Abba Kyari.
