Things keep getting messier for the incumbent governor even as the days of the elections draw nearer.
Today, a very key supporter and grassroot politician from Esan Land, also a special assistant to Governor Godwin Obaseki has tendered his resignation and pledged his total loyalty to the candidature of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Honourable Joshua Akhabue is a Special Assistant to Obaseki from the Ward 6,Iruekpen, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State. He has declared that his support for APC is 100% and that no form of intimidation can make him change his mind from ensuring the success of APC in the 2020 governorship elections.
Whether he has taken the right decision or not, lives to be seen. It is a manly attribute to take a stand and not sit on the fence. So it is commendable what he has done.
