The crises bedeviling the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) took another dimension, on Saturday, as parallel party executives emerged from, at least, five of the 36 states of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

It could be recalled that the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC), conducted her State Congresses, on Saturday, October 16, 2021 to elect new set of state party executives from across the country.
Unfortunately, Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Ibrahim Shekarau formed alliance with one other serving Senator, three members of House of Representatives and some other promient members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano to conduct a parallel congress that produced Ahamdu Haruna Zago as the parallel chairman of the ruling party in the state.

Some of the associates of Senator Ibrahim Shekarau include Senator representing Kano North, Barau Jibril; member of the House of Representatives representing Dawakin Tofa and Rimingado Federal Constituency, Tijjani Abdulkadri Jobe; member representing Karate and Rogo Federal Constituency, Haruna Isa Dederi; member representing Kano Municipal Federal Constituency, Shaaban Ibrahim Sharada among other prominent members of the party.
The situation in Niger State was not different from what happened in Kano State as Governor Abubakar Sani Bello's camp produced Alhaji Nasiru Yusuf Ubandiya as the State Chairman of the party.
Unfortunately, Alhaji Aliyu Jikantoro emerged as the parallel chairman of the ruling party at a parallel congress that was conducted at a private building along Bay Clinic Road in Minna, according to the Vanguard.
In Abia State, Chief Ikechi Emenike and Hon. Donatus Nwankpa conducted their parallel congresses at different locations, at the same time.
Loyalists of Chief Ikechi Emenike conducted their congress at somewhere around Ugwunchara while political followers of Hon. Nwankpa held their congress at the indoor Sports Hall of the Umuahia township stadium.
As usual, Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and his predecessor, Senator Ibikunle Amosun renewed their political rivalry as Ogun State witnessed parallel congress, on Saturday.
The congress conducted by Governor Abiodun-led faction of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) at M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta in Ogun State produced Chief Yemi Sanusi as the State Party Chairman while the Senator Ibikunle Amosun-led parallel congress that was held at Ake Palace ground, Abeokuta produced Chief Derin Adebiyi as the parallel chairman.
In Osun State, members of the ruling party who are loyal to Governor Isiaka Adegboyega Oyetola of the state returned Prince Agbegboyega Famodun as the State Party Chairman.

However, loyalists of the former governor of the State and current Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Abdulrauf Adesoji Aregbesola, claimed former caretaker secretary of the party, Alhaji Rasak Salinsile, is their chairman of the party in the state.
