Despite the delay, the contractors who are handling the road has returned to work. They were recently mandated to deliver at least 2lanes out of the initially planned 6lanes road.
From observation, Crystal Park to Uratta junction has been cleared, with other minor developments. The drains are already in place, and work is expected to progress speedily.
The recent development is a welcomed one because the roads have been abandoned for years. The nature of the road has inflected suffering upon those who make use of the road daily. If they are unable to complete the road now, it might create more future problems for motorists.
Nigerians who came across the above report are reacting to it. Those who commented expressed bitterness on why the government abandoned the road for years. They stated they the government and the contractors should complete the six lanes because they demolished buildings because of that same road.
Others who allegedly passed through the road stated that the contractor is just busy filling the hole they initially opened. See more reactions below.
