President Buhari who stated this on a tweet he made on his verified twitter handle this evening went further to assure Nigerians and Niger Delta in particular that his administration remains committed to bringing rapid and sustainable development to the Niger Delta region.

In recent days, there have been series of allegation and counter allegations between the minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Godswill Akpabio and the former MD of the Niger Delta Development Commission, Joy Nunieh, which might be the reason why President Buhari decided to make statement.
