Diezani Alison-Madueke who is a politician and also the 1st female President of OPEC, became Nigeria's minister of transportation in July 2007.
Diezani who prior to becoming to the Minister of Petroleum Resources in in 2008, was the minister of Mines and Steel Development in the year 2008.
Diezani Alison-Madueke was born in Rivers State, Nigeria to Mr.Frederick Abiye Agama. The popular Nigeria leader attended Howard University and in England graduating with a degree in Architecture.
The well known minister in 2002, attended Cambridge Judge Business School for her degree in MBA.
In the year 2006, Diezani was appointed as an Executive Director of Shell, and was the first woman ever to hold the office of the Executive Director in the country.
However, Diezani has been married to Admiral Allison Madueke who was a Chief of Naval Staff.
In September 2011, the Nigeria Defense Academy awarded Alison-Madueke with an honorary Doctorate degree in Management Sciences.
