The election is the only key the citizens have to reelect or to remove a politically elected leader from an office. But in Nigeria, the 2023 elections will tell if the All Progressives Congress(APC) will retain power beyond 2023 or not. Whatever the outcome will be, it is only the citizens alone who can decide.
Also, the zoning of the presidential tickets is another great factor to consider because right now the southern governors are calling for power rotation to the South. So, this takes us to what the former Zamfara State governor, Senator Sani Yerima said he will do if presidential tickets are zoned to the South.

According to THE NATION, Senator Yerima while addressing journalists yesterday in Abuja said he has not seen the reason for backing the presidential race except APC decides to zone the Presidency to the South. He said whatever decision the party takes he will abide by it because the decision is legally binding on all members of the party. Details below:
He said, “once there is zoning, I know that my time is up but I'm sure that God himself will decide this.” He further argued that the agitations by Southern governors and other proponents of power shift are unconstitutional and against democratic norms. (Credit: THE NATION)
