1. President Buhari Holds Security Meeting With Minister Of Defence, CDS Irabor.

On Tuesday being the 23rd of March 2021, Muhammadu Buhari held a security meeting with the Chief of Defence Staff, Lucky Irabor and the Minister of Defence, Bashir Magashi.

According to the report, the meeting was held behind closed doors, and it occurred directly inside the President’s office at the statehouse in Abuja.

This was made known to the public by Bashir Ahmad (The personal assistant on new media to the President). More details concerning the meeting will be made known to the public once it is revealed. 

2. Another Prominent Nigerian Is Dead.

Different news sources recently discloses that another prominent Nigerian politician is dead. According to the reports, the deceased is identified as Akpoebi Lubi he is an Ex-Ondo lawmaker and was a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly.

He died on Tuesday after he got involved in a fatal road accident that occurred today. Akpoebi Lubi was the Special Adviser to the senator representing Ondo South Senatorial District, Special Interest, and Nicholas Tofowomo on Strategy, he represented the Ese-Odo State Constituency, between 2011 and 2015. May the humble soul of Akpoebi Lubi rest in perfect peace.

3. Senate moves to recover N16trn AMCON loans.

On Tuesday, the Senate allegedly considered a bill in order to empower the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria in the aspect of assets recovery.

The implementation of the senate's recent consideration will actually go a long way to strengthen assets recovery against economic sabotage by debtors with unpaid loans to the tune of about N16 Trillion Naira.

Senator Michael Bamidele representing Ekiti Central was said to be the sponsor of AMCON Amendment Bill 2021.

4. Buhari Is Shedding Crocodile Tears, Says Afenifere.

Afenifere (Pan Yoruba socio-cultural and political organisation) has allegedly reacted against President Muhammadu Buhari in regard to his statement which was made after Benue governor, Samuel Ortom got attacked by some unknown armed men.

President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier urged that the attack on Samuel Ortom should not be politicised. Afenifere’s leader, Pa Ayo Adebanjo claims that Buhari’s reaction to the development is an act of pretence and amounts to shedding crocodile tears. Adebanjo ask Muhammadu Buhari to desist from acting like he is not aware that Fulanis are responsible for most of the criminal activities within the country.
