Here's The List Of The Current 36 Deputy Governors In Nigeria And Their Political Parties
The Office of Deputy Governor is nuch ado about Nothing. Framers of our constitution were wise not giving it any powers and not caring about vacancies in it. DG’s role is to read speeches on behalf of his boss, praise him and attend funerals. It protects Governors from disloyalty. In the US, a federal system where a governor has a bigger portfolio and would seemingly need all the help he could get, there is no need for a Deputy Governor. I think they know something we are now beginning to understand. Such positions only serve to enhance tribalism in govt. There are 36 current deputy Governors in Nigeria
