Former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, has declared his presidential ambition, he also commented on the rumored ambition of former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During an interview with Premium Times recently, Fayose said: "The office of the president is a noble one and I will love to be the president of Nigeria if the opportunity permits.''
Fayose also said he is not interested in the rumored Presidential ambition of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. He debunked the rumor that he is silently supporting Tinubu 2023 presidential bid.
He also said the People's Democratic Party is capable of winning the 2023 general election because the ruling party, All Progressives Congress has failed woefully.
Many Nigerians have reacted differently to the statement made by the former governor. Some wished him all the best in his Presidential ambition while others said it is not possible for him to get the PDP ticket in 2023?
