Breaking: APC Reconciliation committee storms Ondo

The All Progressive Congress (APC) Reconciliation committee aggrieved chieftains ahead of the governorship primary and election.

The team, led by Niger state governor Sani Bello, held meeting with Governor Rotimi Akeredolu (SAN), party elders, aspirants and members of the unity forum.

The goal of the peace parley is to give opportunity to aggrieved chieftains to ventilate their grievances and reconcile them with the governor.

Breaking: Buhari told to sack Malami

President Muhammadu Buhari has been argued to sack the Attorney General of the federation and minister of justice, Abubaka Malami.

Austin Okon, National co-ordinator of the People Democratic Party (PDP) National Youth Frontier, made the call in a statement he made.

He said Malami's exist would pave away for an unbiased investigation of responses Ibrahim Magu, suspended chairman of the EFCC, provided to the justice Ayo Salami led panel.

Third mainland bridge: Alternative routes ready, says LASG.

The Lagos state government announced on Friday that rehabilitation of alternative routes to be used during the closure of the third mainland bridge had been carried out.

The state's commissioner for transportation, Dr. Frederic Oladeinde, made this announcement in a statement in Ikeja.

Breaking: Kidnapped wife of justice Ignatius Agube regains freedom

The wife of justice Ignatius Agube, Mrs. Ekwele Agube, abducted at gun point by suspected kidnappers about two weeks ago, has regained her freedom.

The victim was kidnapped at her shop along Ekorunim, in Calabar Municipal Council, Cross river state by gunmen who came in with an unmarked Audi 80 vehicle.

During the attempt th kidnap the vitim, her personal assistant who made frantic efforts to prevent or stop the alleged kidnappers from abducting her boss was shut.

Troops rescue 34 kidnap victims in Benue

Military authorities said troops of Operation Whirl Stroke yesterday raided a den of kidnappers in Tomayin village in Logo Area Council of Benue state after a fierce exchange of fire with the hoodlums, leading to the rescue of 34 kidnap victims.

An update issued by the Directorate of Defence Media Operation (DDMO), said the encounter followed credible intelligence on the activities of a notorious kidnap syndicate operating in the general area of the town.
