Opinion: How Pastor Bakare's Visit To Buhari Today Contradicted The Statement He Made In July

Bakare visited President Buhari in Aso Rock just days after he announced the launch of a new movement to find solutions to Nigeria's crisis.

Femi Adesina, the president's spokesman, posted photos of the president with the senior pastor of Citadel Global Community Church on Facebook.

However, Bakare's visit to Buhari has contradicted the statement he made in July when he visited the president to discuss issues.

How did he contradict his earlier statement?

In light of the recent development, we may deem it necessary to recall how a series of reports from reliable sources had said that Bakare had vowed not to visit the President again.

Then, Pastor Tunde Bakare contradicted his statement by visiting Buhari after vowing not to visit him again because all of his previous meetings with the Nigerian leader had failed to yield positive results for Nigerians.

Mr. Bakare, who is known for his fiery sermons, had previously declared war on President Buhari for failing to bring peace and economic relief to Nigerians.

"I’m not interested in meeting you any longer; no more visits. Now it is war because Nigeria must be set free," Bakare said in his sermon on July 25.

Following his recent visit, you may want to agree with me that Bakare's visit has successfully contradicted the earlier report affirming that he won't go to Aso Rock again.
