Director General of Edo 2020 All Progressives Congress (APC) Governorship Election Campaign Council and Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Ganduje, Governor of Kogi state, Yahaya Bello, as well as two-time former governor of Kano state and Senator representing Kano Central Senatorial District, Ibrahim Shekarau and other northern senators, have encouraged Arewa Community in Edo state to vote for the APC candidate Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu to ensure overall development of the State.
In the other hand, The Arewa Community in Edo State led by the state Chairman Husseni Abdullahi and the Arewa Chairman Benin Alhaji Badamusi with other Northern Elite and members of Edo State Arewa community assured the governors of their commitment to deliver Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu.
Ganduje and Shekarau also addressed thousands of APC faithfuls in Wards 4, 5, 7, 8 and 9 of Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area during the ward to ward Campaign of the Party in the Area on Monday.
Ganduje also cautioned the people to resist financial overtures from the candidate of the PDP, Mr Godwin Obaseki, who has resorted to buying Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) after was reprimanded and refrained from violence by the Benin Monarch, Oba Ewuare II.
Meanwhile, Senator Shekarau stressed that Pastor Ize-Iyamu, since his period as Secretary to the Committee which merged CPC, APP and ACN to APC has aptly demonstrated uncommon and clear-cut understanding, as well as leadership skills and sensitivity to the needs of his people, and how to cater for them.
The APC Candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, who expressed deep appreciation to the Arewa community for defying the midday downpour to receive the campaign team, appealed to them to vote for him to enable him implement his manifesto, the SIMPLE agenda.
