The news that Senator Barnabas Gemade is the new national Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been described as mere rumour.

In a statement signed by his media and Publicity aide, Solo Dzuah, refuted the story and urged members of the general public to disregard the news being spread in the social media.
Solo said senator Gemade remains loyal party man who at the moment is committed to the success of the party at both national and state levels.
The statement reads: " I write to refute the news being spread in the Social media that Senator Barnabas Gemade is the National Chairman designate of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
"I therefore, wish to let those spreading the rumours, and the general public who may believe the story, that Sen. Gemade is a loyal party man, and at present working assiduously for the smooth running of the party both at the National and State levels, so whatever is going on in the media is not true."
