President Muhammadu Buhari gave bandits terrorizing the Northern part of the country what I termed the shock of their lives, as they probably felt he would take it lightly with them. Nigerians have clamored for the president to address the menace of these bandits whom many believed to be aggrieved Fulani herdsmen.
Some Nigerians called on President Muhammadu Buhari's administration to tackle bandits with an iron fist if truly his administration valued the lives of human beings more than that of cows.
President Muhammadu Buhari has come under criticism and accused of treating unknown gunmen in the Southern region of the country with an iron fist, deploying military men, and only cautioning bandits causing havocs in the North.
However, the president during an interview with Arise News TV made it clear that bandits causing havoc in Northern Nigeria would be treated in the language they understand. He emphasized that if the only language they understand is being dealt with by military men and the police, so be it.
President Muhammadu Buhari had earlier issued a similar warning to the IPOB group clamoring for secession, and some people felt he was only biased with his decision. But he came out yesterday to make things clear that anybody who disrupts the peace of the nation would be treated in languages they understand.
President Muhammadu Buhari's stern warning to bandits terrorizing the Northern region affirms that he truly belongs to everybody and belongs to nobody.
