Two Politicians Qualified To Become The APC Chairman In Cross River State

The political space in Nigeria has been clouded with crisis both in the ruling and main opposition parties. If you don't hear of defection from one party to the other, you will hear of a National Chairman being suspended.

This does not only happen at the National level. It goes down to the state level where factions and disunity are the calls of the day.

In Cross River State, the search for who becomes the State Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has intensified with many members of the party wondering who would end the crisis in the party.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Cross River had a successful congress that elected Barr. Vena Ikem as the State Chairman. The APC is yet to conduct its congress.

Below are the two politicians that may become the Chairman of the APC during the state congress.

1. Hon. James Alicha

The political profile of Alicha makes him one of the best men to occupy the number one position of the ruling political party, the APC.

Having performed and achieved an incredible feat by changing the political equation in the APC Cross River state, it is pertinent to shoulder him the leadership of the APC at this critical point in time when exemplary leadership is required for the stability and sustainability of the party against the 2023 general elections.

2. Ntufam Ekpo Okon

Ekpo Okon was once the Chairman of the PDP in Cross River State before he moved to the APC.

The clamor for the choice of Ekpo Okon is borne out of his ability to manage people of diverse ethnic-religious and cultural backgrounds.

His humility, accessibility, and ability to carry everyone along, and to give them a sense of belonging and responsibility is another reason why he is the best fit for the role.
