Update: Activist Hits Back At Delta Governor's Mouthpiece, Renew Calls For His Resignation

The Coordinator, Deltans Lives Matter, Comrade Christian Moses Abeh, has opened the can of worms on the Chief Press Secretary (CPS), to the Delta state governor, Mr. Olisa Ifeajika, for calling him name for expressing his opinion.

Comrade Abeh, on Sunday regretted that a sensitive office such as the representative of the governor could fail in defending his boss, rather resorted to name calling.

Hear him: "It is quite unfortunate that someone who is a Chief Press Secretary to a State Governor couldn't defend his boss's deceitful approach of governance rather chose to use derogatory comments on me for airing my view.

"However, I want to ask the idiot how much his boss has spent so far on our so-called Covid-19 issue? I want to ask the opportunist what is our state of finance? Where was this human when people like those appointed as EAs, SSAs on media matters were busy working for the governor's reelection?

"It is not his fault because nepotism is the order of the day in Delta State", he lamented.

He renewed his call for the State governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa, to step aside, insisting that Deltans have been deceived and lied to over the years.

His words: "What I am saying is that the Governor should resign, he is ruling us with lies and deceit since he was re-elected.

"Can you compare Asaba to Abakiliki or Awka? How much is their allocations and internally generated revenues? How many flyovers do they have and how many did Governor Okowa constructed in Asaba the State capital for the past five years?

"He said that I am a nuisance but the world knows that the only Governor in Nigeria who is a medical doctor got infected with Covid-19 alongside his family members whereas some Governors who are not degree holders are free of the virus.

"How can you convince us that the thirty days lockdown that was declared by a Medical Doctor-Governor who is not a nuisance is useful with our high records of Covid-19 issues and he and his family members contacted the virus with all the safety measures put in place? Dr Okowa should resign now", Comrade Abeh, reiterated.

It would be recall that Mr. Ifeajika in his swift response to the call for Okowa’s resignation over agreement reached between the state government and organized labour that Civil Servants on salary grade levels 7 and 17 should revert to the old wage in the meantime, called Comrade Abeh as a “miscreant” who lacks the capacity to call for his boss’s resignation.
