Tension In Rivers As Angry Protesters Chant "END POLICE" After A Tricycle Driver Was Shot Dead

According to the video that is currently going viral, tension has been rising in Rivers state as angry protesters took to the streets to chant "END POLICE" after a tricycle driver was allegedly shot dead by a police officer. The reports we received concerning the incident stated that a tricycle driver was shot dead by a police officer after he refused to give the officer N100 bribe. Heavy protests have now erupted in Rukpokwu axis of Obio Akpor local government, Port Harcourt in Rivers states.

The video we received showed a large number of people marching on the road and chanting "END POLICE" as they carried the dead body of the tricycle driver. These angry protesters were spotted with the alleged dead body of the tricycle driver who was shot dead by a police officer. They put his body on a tricycle as they marched around the streets in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Check out the photos below

They have been protesting for hours now and there were videos in which gunshots were heard as the protesters approached a police station. It was alleged that police officers shot at protesters who took the corpse of the tricycle driver to the police station, two protesters were reportedly injured and rushed to the hospital. My opinion is that these protesters should be careful with the words they chant when protesting, the police force isn't perfect but they are doing a good job in terms of security, they shouldn't chant "END POLICE" at their protests, they should only chant "END THE BRUTALITY".

What do you think?

Do you think the police officers ought not to have shot at protesters approaching the police station? Do you think they should have just talked with them?
