Imo state Government secures a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States Aid agency (USAID)
As the Imo state Government secures a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United States Aid agency (USAID) on effective water supply, Sanitation and hygiene project, COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant extant preventive protocols did not stop the shared prosperity Government, anchored on E-Governance, from ushering Imo people into an era of clean and portable water, hence, a virtual signing process for the corporatization of effective water scheme with the United states aid agency (USAID).
Our 3R Government has shown Political will to ensure that Imo State plays her part in ensuring good water supply for Imo people.
Prior to my resumption in office, Imo State was the only State out of six (6) states in the project not to have corporatized the effective water supply, Sanitation and hygiene project.
Since my first day in office, I have visited the project site to see first hand the activties of the project management.
I reiterate our administration's commitment in ensuring we see Imo people come out of a situation where over 85% of the people have no access to clean water.
The project is consistent with the goals of our 3R Administration to ensure that all Imolites have potable water.
We are committed. We will cooperate at all times and it is my hope that in the shortest possible time, accessible water scheme will be readily available for Ndị Imo.
We are committed to running it as a business that will add commercial value.
Sen. Hope Uzodimma
Governor, Imo State.
