Just in: Trump administration tells Congress that it is Withdrawing the US from WHO

Trump administration tells Congress that it is withdrawing the US from WHO.

Senator Bob Menendez, the top Democrat on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, announced on Tuesday that the White House has notified Congress that it plans to formally withdraw the United States from the World Health Organization.

The United States was the largest contributor to the World Health Organization in the 2018-2019 biennium, giving just over $893 million, or about 20% of its approved budget that cycle.

“Operation Warp Speed,” the federal government’s official COVID-19 vaccine program, has awarded vaccine maker Novavax a $1.6 billion contract.

What do you think about President Trump's new move on WHO? Do you think is okay for president Trump to take such decision in this lockdown period? If you were given a chance to speak on this on behaved of President Trump, what will you say? Let us know at the comment section below
