Governor Zulum Receives Reports Of High Powered Committee For The Sangaya Reform At Maiduguri

Committee Reports on, Sangaya reform and establishment of BOSU college of health sciences and teaching hospital. 

This morning the Executive Governor of Borno State Prof Babagana Umara Zulum Mni Fnse received reports of two high powered committees for the reform of Sangaya education in Borno, and that of the Establishment of Borno State University collage of Health Sciences and Teaching Hospital.

Presenting the 76 paper report the chairman of the Sangaya Reform Committee Khalifa Ahmed Abdulfathi, said after various consultations with critical stakeholders within and outside the state.

The committee came up with a number of recommendations which when implemented will go a long way in the development of the system.

To facilitate the implementation of the recommendations, the Committee advised the establishment of Sangaya and Islamiyya school board.

In a seperate event, the Chairman high powered Committee for the establishment of Borno College of health sciences and teaching hospital prof Uthman Kyari said.

The Committee after a series of consultations and brainstorming session is today presenting a far reaching recommendations to fast track the establishment of collage and teaching hospital.

One of the important recommendations is the involvement of biomedical engineering service at the early stage of the planning. 

Both Chairmen thanked the Governor for the opportunity. Responding, the Governor appreciated the efforts made by the committees and promised to study the reports and ensure its implementation.
