Irrespective Of The Low Confidence We Have In Any System, We Will Keep The Hope Alive — Yusuf Datti

The Vice-Presidential aspirant of the Labour Party for the 2023 presidential election, Sen. Yusuf Datti Baba Ahmed, during an exclusive interview with the Channels Television station after the All Progressives Congress's candidate Bola Ahmed Tinubu was declared the winner of the eventual 2023 presidential election, said "that irrespective of the low confidence that his party has in any system, they will keep the hope alive by taking the case to court." This was what Datti said when he was asked about the level of confidence that he has in the judiciary.

Datti emphasized "that the party had extremely low confidence that the 2023 election was going to be free and fair, yet they went ahead by participating in the elections."

Datti Baba explained "that there are two different confidence that they have, he said that there is a confidence that they have in themselves and the one that they have in the Judiciary".   The vice president aspirant also said "that the confidence that they have in themselves and their case is that elections, so to speak, were not held because from the polling units, the electoral act of 2002 as amended provided the direct transmissions of results, and that it is those direct transmissions of results that show that elections were held, which were not transmitted," according to him. He continued by saying, "What are you talking about?" "There is no election at all." He also said that if there are no valid collations, then what results are we talking about?
