By the end of last month of March the marauding herdsmen were reported to have attacked the Egedegede community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State. The attack left more not less than 15 people dead. The deceased were seen with matchet cuts all over their bodies.
The governor Umahi of Ebonyi State visited the community and had first hand information. He Commiserated with the people and assured them that the Government will do any thing within it's power to unravel the perpetrators of such dastardly acts of inhumanity to fellow human beings.
Going by the level carnage and destruction carried out by the Herdsmen on the Egedegede people and other hostilities in the Ebonyi State especially Effuim crisis the vice president Osibajo visits Ebonyi State today being 4th day of April, 2021.
The vice president is in Ebonyi State with Minister of information and culture Alhaji Lai Mohammed and minister of state for solid mineral Dr Uche Oga and other high powered delegates. The delegates led by prof Osibajo was live at the Egedegede community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State to ascertain the level carnage and destruction carried out by the Herdsmen and fashion a way to forestall future occurrence.
