A few hours ago the camera captured the moment Governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki was meeting with the Igbo community in Benin City to seek their support ahead of the state House of Assembly election slated for 18th March 2023. As he, noted that the last time they went to the polls, they (the Igbos) were happy with him when called on them and they were able to deliver the entire 24 seats.
In the video shared by him, the governor while soliciting the vote of the Easterners said "The Last time they conducted the House Of Assembly Election, you people were happy with me, when I called for House Assembly election and you people gave me all the 24 seats completely. But some of the people we brought, their long throat was too much"
"They left the work we ask them to do to go after godfathers, so they didn't complete the four years. Now we are about to do another election for the House of Assembly, something I have come meet you people to support me but my worry is that after the last election, will you people still come out because of what they did during the last election, was not good at all".
"I know that many the spirit of many people is down but by the grace of God, the truth about the election must come out. So I have come to tell you people and to beg every one of you not to allow your spirit to be low, rather I want you all to come out because this election that is coming is important. The people who said they won in Abuja, we want to show them that they don't have space here and they cannot enter here because Edo is not Lagos".
