Tinubu also acknowledged the support given to him by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, saying it made his presidential election victory possible. Tinubu, who was declared winner of the February 25 presidential election by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), said this while in Rivers State on the invitation of Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party to inaugurate some projects.
At the event, Tinubu said Governor Wike played a significant role in his victory at the poll, insisting that he won the presidential election “fair and square”. He said, “I went through a gruesome campaign, fought hard, supported by many of you and I won fair and square. Nyesom, I say thank you for your contribution to my victory. “I couldn’t have done it without some structural support you gave me which I can’t describe in my honoring your invitation to commission this flyover.

In an interview with Arise News Channel on Tuesday monitored by our Correspondent, the former Anambra State governor narrated his experience, saying he was never arrested or detained by officials of the British government. He insisted that what went down at Heathrow International Airport was a routine immigration check because his identity had been alleged to have been compromised.
Obi said he was stopped for routine immigration checks while contradicting his party’s claim that he was questioned for a long time. He said: “I was never arrested, I was never detained. And I did not commit any offense. I was stopped for a routine immigration check because there appeared to be a duplication of my identity and all this lasted for a maximum of 20 minutes.
Russia Says Ukraine Attempted To Assassinate President Putin
Russia has accused Ukraine of making attempting to kill President Vladimir Putin. It accused Ukraine on Wednesday of attacking the Kremlin with drones overnight in a failed attempt to kill Putin, according to Reuters.

But a senior Ukrainian presidential official has denied the allegation, saying Kyiv had nothing to do with the purported incident. Russia accused Ukraine of using two drones in an attack on Putin's residence in the walled Kremlin citadel but that they were disabled by electronic defenses.
It said Russia reserved the right to retaliate - a comment that suggested that Moscow might use the alleged incident to justify a further escalation in its war with Ukraine. "Two unmanned aerial vehicles were aimed at the Kremlin. As a result of timely actions taken by the military and special services with the use of radar warfare systems, the devices were put out of action," the Kremlin said in a statement.
Prosecute interim govt advocates, LP tells security agencies

This was part of the communique of LP’s NEC meeting held on Wednesday at the Sulgad Hotel, Bauchi State. The communique which was read to journalists by the Publicity Secretary, Arabambi Abayomi, was signed by the party’s acting National Chairman and acting National Secretary, Bashiru Apapa, and Saleh Lawal, respectively.
It read in part, “That the NEC in session believes in the rule of law and shall continue to stand with our Presidential Candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, to see to the successful reclaiming of our stolen mandate at the presidential election petition tribunal while noting that we will not be a party to any unlawful act to cause a change of democratic administration violently as anticipated by Barr. Julius Abure and his cohorts.
