Egypt Draws Battle Line Against Turkey As President Vows To Defend His Country

The Egyptian President, Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi on Thursday vowed to fight to death with Turkey if his country's security is threathend by the later.

President El-Sisi made the declaration when he was visited by the Eastern Libyan tribesmen in a show of solidarity on Thursday July 16 in Cairo.

El-Sisi further said that Egypt will not stand idle in the face of any moves that pose a direct threat to Egyptian and Libyan national security, and vowed to protect Libyan Sovereignty.

Since 2014, Government of National Accord (GNA) which occupied Tripoli has been under the backing of Turkish government against the rival Benghazi based Eastern Administration, backed by the UAE, Russia and Egypt.

The Eastern Tribal Leaders headed by commander Haftar Khalifa called for Egypt to help counter Turkey during their meeting with El-sisi in Cairo in which the Egyptian President said his goal is to activate the free will of the Libyan people.

Turkey is a big threat to the Libya National Army (LNA) as their support to the Government of National Accord (GNA) has force them abandon offensive on Tripoli.
