Ikemti who is the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Frankborn Oil and Gas stated this on Saturday, in his native community, Bebuagbong, Obudu local government where he revalidated his membership of the party.
Popularly known by his company's name, (Frankborn), the young CEO said that the desire by youths to takeover the leadership of the state and country can be achieved easily if they joined the APC en mass and takeover the party's structure.
He maintained that youths cannot continue to stay away from politics and expect to get into power.
The business mogul maintained that "Youths cannot continue to stay away from politics and expect that the older people would just handover leadership to them. Power is not given, it is taken.
As young people, what we need to do now is to get involved and APC has provided us the best option to do that through the ongoing registration/revalidation exercise. What we need is to take advantage of this exercise by joining in our numbers"
He added that "everyday when I slide through my social media handles, I see a lot of youths complaining about leadership, yet they see themselves as being too holiday to get involved.
The people we're complaining about didn't stay on social media to complain to get into power. They worked for it. In fact, when most of them joined politics, there was no social media. So, what we need is to complement our efforts on social media by getting involved now that APC is welcoming new members".
Ikemti further called on all leaders of the party in the state to "close ranks and work together because our strength is in our unity".
