According to Punch News, Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi has criticised the Independent National Election Commission for not disclosing the results of the present elections on their portal.
Obi thought it peculiar that while the presidential election results had been transmitted, those for the Senate and House elections had not yet made it to the INEC server.
This was said in a statement that Diran Onifade signed on Saturday in Abuja.
He said: It is odd, unacceptable, and smacks of fraud that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BIVAS) could gracefully broadcast the results of the Senate and House of Representatives, but not those of the Presidential election.
Diran Onifade finds it odd that the BVAS chooses which results are uploaded and which are not.
Surely this smacks of a serious scam aimed at torpedoing the wishes of Nigerian voters who have already decided that nothing can go wrong in Nigeria by using the ballot box to do so.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) should be held responsible for this flagrant anomaly that defies all logic as Diran Onifade ascertains what is developing as a recipe to rig the process and cut off the voting aspirations of the Nigerian masses.
Additionally, we think Nyesom Wike, the governor of Rivers State, should not have interfered.
We request that all pertinent organizations take the required steps to stop the governor from meddling in the election.
We want to make it absolutely clear that any presidential election result that differs from the polling station results of which we currently have copies will not be accepted.
We are alerting local, national, and international observers, as well as other stakeholders, to this sad and planned anomaly. Please order by calling INEC.
