Godswill Akpabio, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, has claimed that the former Acting Managing Director of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Joy Nunieh, was not qualified.
He made the claim on Monday during the House of Representatives public hearing on alleged mismanagement in the NDDC.
Testifying before the panel, Akpabio stated that Joy Nunieh does not have a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificate.
The minister said the NDDC had over 300 bank accounts when he was appointed by President Buhari.

5. BREAKING: Gbajabiamila Storms Venue As NDDC Probe Resumes
Femi Gbajabiamila, the Speaker of the House of Representatives, has arrived the venue of the investigative hearing being conducted on the alleged mismanagement by the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
Gbajabiamila, who joined the House Committee on NDDC after the hearing resumed. said the decision by the Chairman, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, to recuse himself showed lawmakers were out to ensure a credible exercise.
The investigative panel had earlier been suspended after the acting Managing Director of NDDC, Prof Kemebradikumo Pondei, collapsed while being grilled by the lawmakers.
Efforts from witnesses to resuscitate him were however effective when he regained consciousness shortly afterwards he later left the probe panel after feeling unwell and could not continue his defence.
