The 2023 Imo Gubernatorial elections would be a very stiff one, as many powerful politicians in Imo State seem to be eyeing the Governorship sit. However, I'm of the opinion that Governor Hope Uzodinma may not win the election and here are some points to prove this.
1. The Level Of Insecurity In Imo State:
Going by the sharp rise in insecurity in Imo State, many Imolites may not want to vote for Governor Hope Uzodinma in 2023. Imolites desire an Government that knows how to enforce law and order in the State.
2. Prompt Payment Of Civil Servants:
Indeed, many civil servants in Imo State, have complained about their delayed renumeration and this is a serious issue, as a huge chunk of the Imo populace are civil servants, hence, Imolites may vote for a new leadership, who would lay emphasis on the prompt payment of salaries and arrears to it's Civil Servants.
3. The Use Of Conflict Resolution Methods:
Many Imolites are of the opinion that the present Governor, could have used dialogue as an effective means of stopping the tension in Imo State. Hence, in the 2023 elections, Imolites may want to vote in a candidate who understands that there are other means of resolving crisis, other than the use of security operatives.
