Mahdi Shehu, a popular Nigerian activist has revealed why former Nigerian president, Goodluck Jonathan was chased out of office in 2015.
You would recall that prior to the 2015 general elections, a lot of people ganged up against Jonathan while protesting against his administration thereby leading to the emergence of Muhammadu Buhari as president.
While speaking in an interview with Arise News, Mahdi Shehu said Jonathan was chased out of office on account of ineptitude and incapacity.
He however noted that he is sure that when Jonathan looks back at how they ganged up against him in 2015, he will be laughing and sipping his tea in the comfort of his bedroom.
"In 2015, Jonathan was chased out on account of ineptitude, incapacity and inability to deliver. Looking back now, 2015 after Jonathan, I'm sure Jonathan will be laughing and sipping his own tea in the comfort of his bedroom"
"For me, he did well, meant well. He had his own shortcomings but, on the totality, he was a good man, he was an honest man who was willing but eventually, he was blackmailed out"
