Honourable Stanley Adedeji Olajide, a member house of representative from Ibadan Southwest/Northwest federal constituency has stated that as a country, the government need to get our borders secured. He mentioned that there is need to revamp the security system. He stated this today during a radio programme monitored by our correspondent on Fresh FM, Ibadan.
Speaking further, Honourable Stanley said that there must be security conference in order to restructure the system of security. He said that there is nothing that stops us from having state police. He explained that everyone has his own duty to do in ensuring that there is security in every state of the nation.
About the insecurity of the country, he said that the major cause of insecurity is porous border. He disclosed that we have to take the issue of security seriously if we want everything to go on well in the country. He emphasised that they are going to pick people who are into drugs out of street and empower them in order to mitigate insecurity challenges being faced in the state and in the South West.
