Lagos State governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and the All Progressive Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate said he has cast his vote.
Sanwo-Olu is contesting for re-election and a second term as the Lagos state Governor but faces opposition from Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour (GRV) of the Labour Party (LP) and Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran popularly known as Jandor of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
“I have just exercised my right to vote as a resident of Lagos State,” Sanwo-Olu tweeted.
“It’s an important responsibility we all share in building the future of our beloved state and country. I urge all eligible voters to come out and make their voices heard.
“Security officials are at every polling unit to ensure the safety of voters, let us co-operate with them and vote peacefully. Remember, our votes count, and every vote matters.
Diri Condemns Violence In Bayelsa LGA:

The Governor of Bayelsa State, Douye Diri, has condemned the destruction of ballot materials in four wards of constituency two in the Ogbia Local Government Area of the state by suspected thugs during the State House of Assembly election.
Reports said the voting materials meant for Ogbia wards 2, 3, 4 and 5 in the House of Assembly election in the state were reportedly carted away by the armed men and hoodlums in the early hours of Saturday.
The materials were also said to have been burnt.
Gbajabiamila Urges Security Agencies To Investigate Threats To Electorate:

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, has urged security operatives to investigate those involved in threats and violence toward the buildup of the Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Gbajabiamila stated this at his Polling Unit 014, Ward 08, Fowler Memorial International School, Masha, Surulere, Lagos, after casting his vote.
He said the perpetrators, whoever they are or the party they support, should be brought to book to serve as a deterrent to others moving forward in future elections.
I Will Accept Outcome Of The Election, Says Bauchi Governor:

The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Governor of Bauchi State, Bala Mohammed has said that he would accept the outcome of the ongoing governorship election in the state.
He also commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for the smooth voting process at his home town, Yelwa Duguri, Alkaleri local government area.
Mohammed made the commendation shortly after casting his vote at polling unit 008 Bakin Dutse, Duguri, saying “INEC has done very well as far as I’m concerned, whether electronic or manual, you can see the process, it’s very peaceful, very orderly.
