1) Buhari Approves Formation Of Trillion Naira Company To Address Infrastructure Deficit
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of a Public-Private Partnership styled Infrastructure company named Infra-Co with an initial seed capital of N1 Trillion.
It is envisaged that, over time, the entity will grow to N15 Trillion in assets and capital.
Infra-Co will be one of the premier infrastructure finance entities in Africa and will be wholly dedicated to Nigeria’s infrastructure development. The entity has been developed with concept designs from the National Economic Council (NEC) and the Central Bank of Nigeria.
2) Herdsmen kill two, set Amotekun vehicle ablaze in Ondo
No fewer than two persons reportedly lost their lives when some suspected herdsmen attacked the Sanusi Village in the Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State.
It was gathered that the incident occurred on Thursday and those who lost their lives were a farmer and a member of a vigilante group.
3) Sheikh Gumi Accuses Military Authorities Of Making Millions From Terrorism
Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, on Thursday alleged that military authorities are not interested in end terrorism in the country because they making billions of naira from it.
Gumi who has been having meetings with bandits in an attempt to negotiate with them, stated this while speaking on Arise TV on Thursday.
According to Gumi, the bandits are ready to drop their arms and return to the fold if the Nigerian government will accede to their demands.
He said, “The military is not encouraging matters at all because they are the beneficiaries of this insecurity.”
“Nobody can justify criminality. Criminality is criminality, there is no word that can justify it. But just look at it, IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra), they never had the Nigerian Airforce bombing them, Niger Delta militants never had the Nigerian Air Force bombing them.”

Former National Publicity Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Olisa Metuh, says the opposition party is the only option that can save the country from her current mess.
He said this on Thursday while playing host to members of the party’s National Working Committee who paid him a courtesy visit at his Abuja residence.
The PDP chieftain thanked the party leadership for the visit and commended the Uche Secondus-led committee for standing by him during his trial.
Metuh, who just returned from the United Kingdom where he had gone for medical treatment, stated that the PDP remains the viable option to restore hope in Nigeria and revamp the faith Nigerians have in the nation.

5) 2023: Veteran Actor Pete Edochie Endorses Son For Presidency
Veteran Nollywood actor and elder statesman, Pete Edochie, has endorsed his son, Yul Edochie for the 2023 presidential race.
“My Father Chief Pete Edochie endorses my 2023 Presidential ambition… God Almighty, take absolute control,” he captioned the post shared on his Instagram page on Thursday.
In the less than 3-minute footage, Pete disclosed that the endorsement follows ceaseless pleas from young people asking him to openly back his son’s bid for the country’s highest political office.
The veteran actor also expressed confidence that his son posses the right values and drive to steer the country forward.
He said while he is not interested in politics, he would not hold back his support for Yul who has decided to delve into it.

Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, has criticised those opposed to the nomination of the immediate ex-service chiefs as non-career ambassadors.
Many critics said before they were replaced, the ex-service chiefs could not tackle insurgency and improve security across the country.
But in his weekly article, Adesina said those who criticised the president for nominating the ex-service chiefs as ambassadorial are people who “love to see others fail”.
7) Bauchi Governor Under Fire For Saying Fulani Herders Carry AK-47 For Self-defence
The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has said Fulani herders carry AK-47 for self-defence because cattle rustlers are attacking them.
He slammed his counterpart in Benue State, Samuel Ortom, over his handling of the farmer-herder clashes, leading to loss of lives.
Some Nigerians have criticised the governor for defending the herdsmen.

The Senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, Adewale Giwa has described Fulani herdsmen as descendants of biblical Ishmael, the first son of Abraham.
Pastor Giwa said the herdsmen’s mission is to kill, rape and permanently destroy Nigeria.
Reacting to the activities of criminal Fulani herdsmen, Giwa urged Christians to read their bible in order to have a better understanding on what is currently befalling Nigeria
