During a town hall meeting held by Arise News for the Delta State gubernatorial candidates, the Young Progressive Party's Governorship candidate, Sunny Ofehe, begged Chief Great Ovedje Ogboru, the APGA gubernatorial candidate in Delta State, to step down and support him, pointing out that he loves him so much because he has always stood out for him (Ofehe) over the years.
He assured Chief Ogboru that he's going to accomplish all his wishes and aspirations for the people of Delta if he becomes the governor of the state.
According to him, "Daddy, I've followed you for many years." I love you so much; you're one man who stood out for me. You encouraged me while I was in the university, and in 2019, when I wanted to become a candidate for the APC, after much pressure, I stepped down for you. I know how much you want to see a better Delta State, and I know how much you love this state, which is why you have worked tirelessly over the years, but I want to appeal to you here: please support me in the race. Give it to me, and I'll ensure that all the dreams that you wish to give to Deltans through me, your son, will be given to Deltans. I know how much you don't want the APC and the PDP to take over this state. Think about it: we have three days until the election.
