Some moments ago The Chairperson of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) Board, Lauretta Onochie, has come out to debunk rumors that she said Peter Georgy Obi should go and contest for President of Biafra after Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the 2023 Presidential Elections.

The rumors, which were published by some blogs, have been making waves on social media in the last few weeks. However, Lauretta Onochie has taken to her social media page to address the rumors.

Sharing on her official Facebook page, she said: "This story, badly written in poor English, could not have been written by me. I am educated, enlightened and respectful of other people.
I won't even repost it. Yes, President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu won the election fair and square. Fact. But Biafra is not a country. So no one will be contesting for its presidency. Another Fact.

Lauretta Onochie went on to add that if a story is not on any of her social media accounts, then it is fake news.
