Over 100 Herdsmen, Countless Cows Killed In Ogun - Seriki Fulani

The rate of Attacks on livestocks is becoming a challenge for fulani herdsmen.

The Seriki Fulani of Igua in Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Adamu Ibrahim, have said more than 100 Fulani herdsmen were killed in the area within the last five years.

This, the Seriki Fulani said was the beginning of the recent attacks on communities in Yewa axis of the state.

In his words, communities like Asa, Agbon Ojodu and others along Oja-Odan axis had killed many cows and herders during the period.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with Daily post, he said he had lost count of how many cows were killed within the last five years, stating that over 100 herders were killed for no just reason.

Gov Nyesom Wike Cautions Akpabio

The Executive Governor of Rivers State cautions Godswill Akpabio, The minister for Niger Delta Affairs, over comments Against South-south Governors.

Governor Wike on live television on Friday said Akpabio is not qualified to tell Niger Deltans to ask the south-South governors what they do with funds.

He also threatened that the minister will be taught a lesson if he does not focus on his state, Akwa-Ibom, saying he will increase Mr. Akpabio’s high blood pressure.

Recently, Former House of Representatives Speaker, Dimeji Bankole, is on his way to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Ogun-born politician met with Yobe Governor and Chairman APC Caretaker Committee, Mai Mala Buni, on Friday.
