As we patiently await the date for the forthcoming gubernatorial elections, the APC Governorship Candidate in Niger State, Mohammed Bago, has recently revealed what he will do to overcome insurgency and secure lives and properties in Niger State if elected as governor.
According to Mohammed Bago, while speaking during an interview with Channel TV, "first of all, we have two ways about it, the kinetic and the non-kinetic, but we will give emphasis to the non-kinetic approach to solve the security issues. First, we'll bring local authority to governance and make sure the traditional institutions are brought to the attention of people who live within our community.
Secondly, the insecurity we are talking about is mostly between the Fulani herdmen and our people. There are also the ones behind all these vices, so we need to create a Niger Ranger that will protect our forest, so we'll leave it in the hands of these Fulanis, and we'll equip them with weapons of war."
