Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma is one person that has always being against the activities of the Indegenious People Of Biafra, IPOB. The former Senator who became Governor of the Imo State through the Supreme ruling said that Ndigbo doesn't want Biafra. According to the statement of the Governor, what Igbos want in Nigeria is justice, equity and fairness. Gov. Uzodinma made this statement while delivering his address during the first security council meeting of South-East region held in Owerri, the Imo State capital. He used the opportunity to debunk some rumours being spread by some people concerning what happened at Owerri Correctional Centre and Imo State Headquarters of the Nigerian Police Command. The Governor said “Following Monday’s attacks in Owerri and the preceding ones in various parts of the South-East, many people have come up with varying degrees of theories concerning the motive of the attackers and its consequences on our people. The most ridiculous of these theories is the one that posits that Igbo no longer want to be part of Nigeria hence their belligerence and predilection for war and violence". The Governor went further to state that what Igbos want is a Nigeria that provides level playing ground for all citizens and not Biafra. It could be recalled that Governor Uzodinma not long ago confirmed that he invited the military to flush out the ESN personnel in Orlu, Imo State because they pose a security threat to the state. Are you an Igboman? Do you agree with Hope Uzodinma that what Igbos want in Nigeria is justice, equity and fairness and not Biafra?
