More Photos Of Mahamat Kaka, The Interim President Of Chad And Son Of Late Chad's President

The Chadian army has announced that General Mahamat Kaka, the late President Idriss Deby Itno's son, will lead a military council to succeed him as president.

This comes after army spokesman General Azem Bermandoa Agouna said over the weekend that Idriss Deby, 68, “has just breathed his last protecting the sovereign nation on the battlefield.”

Mahamat previously served as the Chadian Intervention in Northern Mali's second-in-command of the Armed Forces (FATIM).

Mahamat began his military education at Chad's Joint Grouping of military schools. Following that, he received instruction in France at the Aix-en-Provence Military Academy.

We pray that his tenure as Interim President of Chad would be free of terrorism, and that his late father, Idriss Deby, would rest in eternal peace.
