Aminu Yar'Adua, the late former President Musa Yar'Adua's son, has been remanded in prison for allegedly killing four people in a car accident in Yola.
Aminu, 36 years old is said to be a student at the American University of Nigeria (AUN), Yola, and he is accused of causing death by dangerous driving on June 23, 2021.
According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed in court by police prosecutor Insp. Zakka Musa, Aminu crushed six people while driving along Yola bye pass on June 23, 2021, as a result of overspeeding.
Aminu, on the other hand, denied committing the crime and called it false. Magistrate Jummai Ibrahim granted Zakka's request to adjourn the case so that he could duplicate the case file and forward it to the Department of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice. He then ordered that Aminu be remanded in prison before adjourning the matter to August 19, 2021 for further consideration.
