Abia State Government through its the chairman of the state Inter-Ministerial committee on covid-19, Barr Chris Ezem has called on these churches to come for their out standing palliatives.
According to the statements updated on the official Facebook page of the state "the Abia info", they were to visit the food bank at the Office of the Wife of Governor on 17th of July, 2020.
Below are the churches whose state leaders are expected to come on Friday 17/7/2020.
1. Salvation Ministries
3. Holy Sabbath Mission
6. Cherubim & Seraphim
7. Celestial Church of Christ
8. Church of God Mission Int'l
In addition to that, the governor, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has also approved that palliatives be distributed to: 1. Tricycle (Keke) operators under the umbrellas of SATOA, ATRIWA and TOAN. (2) Commercial vehicle operators under the umbrellas of NURTW, RTEAN, Cooperative and NARTO.
However the statement which was signed by Chief John Okiyi Kalu, the Honorable Commissioner for Information, Abia State on 16/07/2020.
Warned that only the state chairmen and secretaries of the aforementioned unions are expected to collect on behalf of their members.
