Biodun Ajiboye, a leader in the All Progressives Congress (APC), recently took the stage to discuss the just concluded presidential election and what would have happened to Nigeria if Peter Obi, the candidate of the Labour Party, had won.
The APC leader claimed that Peter Obi, the LP candidate, has never faulted or denounced the Association of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in any of his interviews or public addresses. This claim was made during an interview with the Arise News.
"People do not understand the enormity it would have been if the Labour Party had won the presidential election," he claimed. A sensationalist group named IPOB is currently active in the east. Although the Federal Government of Nigeria has proscribed them, they are still aggressively operating in the east, to the point where there will be no commercial activity at all on a particular day of the week. Never once did Peter Obi speak out against the killings and burnings that have always occurred within this organization.

If he had won the election, Nigeria's political stability and unity would have been shattered. "The kind of political and electoral fortunes that Peter Obi recorded in the east were an indication that IPOB worked for him."
