Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan, who is the senate president, surprised his newly-weeded wife with a huge amount of money despite claiming that Nigeria is poor and needs to get a loan from developed countries.

Recall that the Senate president, Lawan, said on Thursday during a close-door meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari in Abuja that Nigeria is currently poor and that the Federal Government should go and get a loan from developing countries to fund critical projects in the country. He also advised the Federal Government to borrow in a responsible way.
Lawan also told the correspondents at the meeting that for now, it is not advisable for the Federal Government to task Nigerians for money until the infrastructure in the country is in good shape and since the self-sustaining, the only option now is for the federal government to go to developed countries and get a loan so that it can be used to utilize the Nigeria economy and to ensure that the projects in the country are self-sustaining.
According to Sahara Reporters, Lawal splashes the sum of N100 million to his wife, Zainab Algoni Abdulwahid few days of both introducing themselves. It was also reported that Lawal married his new wife on Friday in Borno State without the public knowing about it.

The secret marriage of Lawal and his newly married wife Zainab was solemnised at the Sheikh Sharif Ibrahim Saleh's mosque in Maiduguri. It was also gathered that after the secret marriage, Lawal hosted a small party for his newly-weeded wife's family house.
