Buhari Speaks On Ethnic Violence.
President Muhammadu Buhari last night promised to protect all ethnic and religious groups in the country.
He told governors and traditional rulers to prevent primordial sentiments from boiling over.
The President warned that he would not allow any ethnic or religious group to stoke up hatred and violence against others.
He spoke amid rising ethnic tension and violence in many parts of the country as a result of the activities of some criminal herdsmen.
Many people have been killed and properties destroyed in different parts of the country.
The Nigeria Governors’ Forum (NGF) has outlawed open grazing by herders and governors have been asked to take steps to end the incessant herders-farmers conflicts.

Iyiola Omisore To Join APC Today.
Information available to DAILY POST indicates that a former Deputy Governor of Osun State and Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in the 2018 Osun gubernatorial election, Senator Iyiola Omisore, will today decamp to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The decision to decamp to the APC was not known as at press time but facts on the table reveal that it is a strategic move in the political permutations ahead of the 2022 gubernatorial election in Osun State.
Recall that Senator Omisore was also the Peoples Democratic Party’s candidate in the 2014 gubernatorial election in the State.
In 2014, he was defeated by the candidate of the APC, Rauf Aregbesola and in 2018 he came a distant third behind Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP and the eventual winner, Adegboyega Oyetola of the APC.
In a chat with Mr. Yemi Lawal, the Osun State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, he advised DAILY POST to be in Ile-Ife, the political stronghold of Omisore if it wants to find out if the information was true or false.
